Professional Supervision

Effective therapeutic counselling is the result of excellent supervision. Michelle supports counsellors to develop rigour in their practice by creating a supportive inquiring context for counsellors to reflect, think, and analyse their therapeutic choices and theoretical underpinnings.

Michelle makes a safe professional space for counsellors to grow insight into their own subjectivities and how these impact on the therapeutic alliance.  She encourages both creative and critical thinking in practice dilemmas drawing upon research and evidence based approaches.

Through the process of supervision the counsellor will increase their understandings of pain, trauma, relationship issues,  effects of abuse,  conscious and unconscious patterns effecting a person's growth, healing and wellbeing.

Michelle is a registered Professional Supervisor with the Australian Counselling Association. She provides supervision and consultation to professionals in the counselling, health, legal, government, business, community, and education sectors.
